The ”Weber Mechanische Werkstätte“ (“Weber Mechanical Workshops“) were founded by Willi Weber in 1946 at Bodman, Germany. Right from the early days, innovative sowers and naves for trailers were designed and patented. Vehicle manufacturing developed eventually from this early tradition. As the Weber Mechanical Workshops were ideally situated close to the waterside of Lake Constance, it was only consequent that the first boat trailers for boat transport into the winter stores were manufactured as early as by the end of the 1960s. Quite soon, this “archetype” of today’s boat trailers was legally protected and manufactured in increasing quantities and in various designs.Today, the “Weber Green-Line Trailers” are introduced and in action world-wide.
Since about 10 years we offer hydraulic elevating systems for bearing blocks. The success of our products is reflected in an esteemed variety of reference customers including – amongst others – a great many of big and renowned shipyards. A growing demand for top-quality and long-living boattrailers was one of the reasons for “Weber Mechanische Werkstätte” to have had constructed a new building in 2003 which since houses the head office of the company and offers ample space for future growth and development.
